Senior Health Home
Aging Resource Contact Line (ARCH)
Are you are caregiver for an older family member? Taking care of an aging loved-one can be a life-changing role. The responsibility can leave caregivers exhausted and depressed. However, with support and planning, it can also be a rewarding, unforgettable experience!
Covenant Health Senior Services understands that multiple-role demands take their toll on you and therefore your work responsibilities. Trying to find balance between work and caregiving can result in physical and mental fatigue, depression, emotional upsets, and increased job stress. With you in mind, we have developed an Aging Resource Center Helpline (ARCH) to assist you with your role as an elder caregiver.
As an important resource for Covenant employees and affiliated-physicians, ARCH can help with many things, including:
- Guide you through the questions and concerns about elder caregiving
- Suggest alternatives to maximize your loved-one's ability to remain at home
- Provide timely information to assist you across the span of caregiving, from initial caregiving tasks to end-of-life issues
- Refer you to appropriate community resources, (make the initial contact, help with completing forms and applications, and follow up), thereby saving you time, energy and money
- Provide support in planning strategies to avoid caregiving burnout and crises
ARCH services are personal and confidential. If you have a present need, anticipate a future need, or simply want information about elder caregiving, give ARCH a call at 865-374-HELP.
